OrthoTrac displays several types of warning messages when you attempt to remove a patient, depending on the status of that patient. Some messages warn you of a specific condition that must be addressed before you can remove a patient:
If you attempt to delete a patient with a scheduled appointment, a warning is displayed, stating that the patient has an appointment scheduled, and you cannot remove the patient until you cancel the appointment.
If you attempt to remove a patient with entries on the current daysheet, a message is displayed, stating that the patient has an entry on the current daysheet, and you cannot remove the patient until the daysheet is closed.
If you attempt to remove a patient with a balance, a message is displayed, stating that the patient has a balance, and you cannot remove the patient until you make an adjustment, a balance transfer, a write-off, and so on.
If you attempt to remove a patient with word processing letters posted, recalls scheduled, ledger history, and so on, the software displays a warning messages during the patient removal sequence.
You can exit the remove patient process in order to perform the action suggested by the warning windows, or click Yes to continue the remove process.
