Performing Insurance Functions
The insurance eligibility service enables you to verify a patient’s insurance coverage benefits online with participating insurance companies.
The insurance eligibility service is an additional service and must be configured for your software installation. See Setting Up the Insurance Eligibility Service for information.
When the service is set up, you can select a policy holder for a patient and verify insurance benefits without having to phone the insurance company.
If the insurance carrier does not participate in this service, the software displays a message, stating that the carrier does not support insurance eligibility verification.
