Viewing Previous Insurance Eligibility Reports/Obtaining a New Insurance Eligibility Report

To view previous insurance eligibility reports for a patient or obtain a new insurance eligibility report:

1. Ensure that your web browser is open.

2. From a patient’s chart, select Functions > Financial Functions > Insurance Eligibility.

OR

From a patient’s Financial Functions window, select Functions > Insurance Eligibility.

The Insurance Eligibility Verification window is displayed.

3. Select an option.

   • To view a previous eligibility report, select the report you want to view and click View. The Insurance Eligibility Response window is displayed. Use the scroll bar to view each page of the eligibility response, or click Print to print the report.

   • To obtain a new verification, select a carrier from the list and click Verify Eligibility. The software contacts the insurance carrier, and the Insurance Eligibility Response window is displayed. Use the scroll bar to view each page of the eligibility response, or click Print to print the report.

   • To remove an eligibility report that contains errors or is outdated, select the report you want to remove and click Remove. The Delete Verification message is displayed, asking if you are sure you want to delete the insurance eligibility report. Click Yes.

   • If a responsible party has only one insurance verification report, you cannot remove the report.

4. Click Close to close the window and return to the Insurance Eligibility Response window.
