Micro Esthetics Analyses

This is the analysis for micro Esthetics.

• The software prompts you to calibrate the image before sending it to the Sarver module.  For more information, see Calibrating the Image.

• You require a close up image of the smile (the type is Closeup Micro), with a black card placed behind the front incisors. Only the upper teeth should be visible in the image.

The Sarver module Micro Esthetics analyses are as follows:

• Contacts and ConnectorsThe lines and ratios for the lines for connector (right canine, right incisal, midline, left incisal, and left canine) are displayed.  The left and right incisors  are highlighted.
  
  
  Note: Lines are Analysis Color 2.  The highlighted area is Analysis Highlight Color 1.  

• Height-Width RatioThe ratio of the width to the height of the incisor, is displayed.
  
  
  Note: The height line is Analysis Color 2.  The width line is Analysis  Color 5.

• Gingival ShapeA line passing through superior and inferior tooth points (long axis) is displayed.
  
  

• Papilla HeightsThe ratio of papilla height to tooth height is displayed.
  
  Note: Lines are Analysis Color 4.  Highlighted areas are Analysis  Highlight Color 5.

• Gingival Zeniths The long axis line and a line from zenith points to long axis are displayed.
  
  
  Note: The long axis is Analysis Color 4.  The line from the zenith is Analysis  Color 5.
   

To perform a Micro Esthetics Analysis, click Micro Esthetics Analysis in the Sarver Module Toolbar and select an analysis from the list.
