Performing Treatments and Analyses > Using the Planner Window
You must use the calibration tool prior to digitizing landmarks on the x-ray image or prior to attaching the soft tissue landmarks to the profile photo image.
To avoid incorrect measurements and treatments, it is strongly recommended that you do not change the calibration after landmarks are entered.
To calibrate an image:
Right-click on the photo image or x-ray image.
Select Digitize > Calibrate X-Ray.
If you know the DPI, enter the value, and click OK. The image is calibrated.
Enter the distance value of the area you are measuring in millimeters, ranging between 10 and 1000mm. Use the cursor to mark the first place on the image.
Use the cursor to mark the second place on the image. A message is displayed with the new DPI value.
You must calibrate the x-ray before sending it to the treatment planner. Use this tool to correct errors in calibration. This tool should be used with caution by advanced users only.
