Entering Pre-Treatment Estimates

To enter a pre-treatment estimate:

  1. In the Patient window, select EMR > Trtmnt Plans. The Treatment Plan tab is displayed with any existing treatment plans.

  2. If you are entering a new set of procedures, follow the instructions in Creating Treatment Plan Visits.

  1. Select the treatment visit for which you want to create a pre-treatment estimate.

  2. Right-click the visit and select Bill Insurance. A message is displayed while the request is processed.

  3. Click Close.

To view the pre-treatment estimate for a paper claim:

  1. In the Patient window, select Workspace > Claims. The Claims tab is displayed with any existing claims.

  2. Select the claim and click Details. The Claim Detail window is displayed for the claim, with the Pre-Treatment Estimate checkbox selected.

To view the pre-treatment estimate for an electronic claim:

  1. From the main menu, select Billing > Insurance Processing > Queue. The Insurance Processing Queue is displayed.

  2. Select the claim with the pre-treatment estimate, and click Details.

  3. Select the claim and click Details. The Claim Detail window is displayed for the claim, with the Pre-Treatment Estimate checkbox selected.
