Entering Ailment Information

Ailment information refers to data required for insurance billing. You can enter two types of ailment information: medical and dental.

To enter new ailment information:

  1. On the Visit tab of the Charge Entry window, click Search next to the Med. Ailment field or the Dental Ailment field. The Medical Ailments window or Dental Ailments window is displayed.

  2. Click New. The Medical Ailment window or Dental Ailment window is displayed.

  3. Type the information as you would on an insurance form.

  4. Click Ok.

To select existing ailment information:

  1. Click Search next to the Med. Ailment or Dental Ailment fields. The Medical Ailment window or Dental Ailment window is displayed.

  2. Type search criteria in the search fields and click Find, or click Display All. The records matching your search criteria are displayed on the left side of the Medical Ailment window or the Dental Ailment window.

  3. Select a medical or dental ailment record.

  4. Click Ok.
