To find out if a patient has any alerts, locate the patient’s record and click Alerts in the Patient window. If there are alerts, the Alerts for [patient name] window is displayed.
Create a medical alert for one of your patients.
To create a medical alert:
Go to the Patient Search window.
Find a patient and double-click on the name.
Click Alerts.
Click New.
Change the Alert Type to Medical.
In the Text field, type the message you want for this alert; for example, high blood pressure.
Click Ok and Close.
Delete the medical alert that you just created.
To delete the alert:
Go to the Patient Search window.
Find the patient for whom you added the alert.
Double-click the name of the patient.
Click Alerts.
Select the alert you want to delete, and click Delete. A confirmation message is displayed.
Click Yes and Close.
