Using the KIOSK Check-In Module

You can use the KIOSK check-in module to set up a KIOSK station for your waiting room that your patients can use to sign themselves in when they arrive for appointments.

Welcome Window

The KIOSK displays a Welcome window you can customize for your practice. This window has instructions for proceeding to the next window for signing in.

Data Entry Window

From the Welcome window, the patient is presented with a series of windows where he is asked to enter the following information:

Last name:Last name:

The patient is prompted to enter his last name. If only one appointment is found for a patient with that last name, a message is displayed, telling the patient that the office is aware of his arrival.

If more than one appointment for that last name is found, the patient is asked to enter his date of birth.
Date of birth:Date of birth:

Since there is more than one appointment with the same last name, the patient is prompted to enter his date of birth.

If only one appointment is found for a patient with the same name and date of birth, a message is displayed, telling the patient that the office is aware of his arrival.

If more than one appointment is found for a patient with the same name and the same date of birth, the patient is prompted to enter his home phone number.

Since there is more than one appointment for the same name and date of birth, the patient is prompted to enter his home phone number.

If only one appointment is found for a patient with the same name, date of birth, and phone number, a message is displayed, telling the patient that the office is aware of his arrival.

If more than one appointment is found for a patient with the same name, date of birth, and phone number, the patient is asked to see the receptionist.

Goodbye Window

When the patient has successfully signed in, a message is displayed, telling the patient that the office is aware of his arrival.

If the sign-in was not successful, a message is displayed, telling the patient to see the receptionist.

You can customize the messages used in the Goodbye window to suit the needs of your practice.
