Sending Recare Notices to Patients > Setting Up Recare Appointments
When you add a new patient record, the adult or child default recare code procedure is displayed in the Last Exam section of the Recare Settings window. You can customize the recare information for each patient and override the default frequency, codes, notices, and time units.
If you do not select a code that triggers a recare or an explosion code, the Last Exam date is not reset when the patient keeps a recare appointment, and the patient record remains overdue for a recare appointment until you manually change the date. If you enter 0 in the Code drop-down list, the patient is included in the Recare report at the specified interval, but no procedure is associated with the patient.
To set Normal Recare information for a patient:
Select List > Patient. The Patient List window is displayed.
Double-click a patient. The patient record is displayed in the Patient window.
Type the patient date of birth in the DOB field on the Info tab and click the Recare tab. The default Normal Recare information is displayed in the Last Exam section.
If you change the name of your Normal Recare system, the name of the Last Exam section in the Patient window changes.
Select an option:
To set the number of time slots the Normal Recare procedure requires in the Scheduler:
If you update the notices sent count when running the Normal Recare report, the value in the Notices field is updated every time a recare notice is sent to the patient. If this option is not selected when running the Recare report, the value in the Notices field is always 0.
