Scheduling Instant Recare Appointments for Patients with Set Recare Procedures

To schedule an instant recare appointment for a patient who has a set recare date:

  1. From the Patient List window, select a patient, and select Appointments from the Options section of the Express bar or the Options menu. The patient Appointments window is displayed.

  2. Select Instant Recare from the Options section of the Express bar or the Options menu. The patient's appointment tile hovers in the center of the Scheduler for the appropriate recare day. The date is based on the recare frequency entered on the Recare tab of the patient’s record and the date of the patient’s last recare procedure.

Example:

  1. If the patient’s last exam was more than six months ago, the patient's appointment tile hovers on tomorrow’s Single Day View window.

  1. Drag the tile over the desired time slot, and let go of the mouse, or use the Auto Scheduler to find an appointment, based on the patient's preferences.
