What's New in Version 16.2.5

SoftDent, version 16.2.5, includes enhancements in the following areas:

CDT-2017 Codes

The latest edition of the Current Dental Terminology (CDT-2017) codes is included with this version of SoftDent.

When the CDT-2017 codes are installed, the following things occur:

• Eleven new codes are added to the database.

• Thirty-seven codes are revised.

• One code is deleted.

When you open the software for the first time, a CDT 2017 End User License Agreement window is displayed. Read the license agreement carefully. If you agree to the terms, click Accept to load the new codes.

• The CDT-2017 code set has been replaced by the CDT-2023 code set.

New CDT Code D6085 (Provisional Implant Crown) Represented by Implant Icon

One of the new CDT codes, D6085 (Provisional Implant Crown), is represented with the implant icon when charted.

Mobility Settings for SoftDent Cloud Users

If you are a SoftDent Cloud user and will be using Mobility to access practice data from a mobile device and the web, you must first enable the Mobility option for the practice. Then you enable the option for each user and enter each user's email address.

Make these changes:

• In the General System Settings window (System > Change System Settings > General System), select Enable Mobility.

• In the Rights by User window (System > Change System Settings > System Security > Rights By User > double-click user name), type the user's Carestream single-sign-on (SSO) account email address in the field. If the user doesn't have an SSO account, type the user's work email address in the field. Select Enable Mobility.

• You must make these changes for each user who will be using Mobility.
