Printing an Insurance Retreatment Letter

You can print a letter to the insurance company explaining why retreatment was necessary using the Quick Letters feature.

To print a letter to an insurance company, explaining why retreatment was necessary:

  1. Select an option:

  2. From the List menu:From the List menu:Select Patient. The Patient List window is displayed. Double-click the patient.

  3. In the Power Bar:In the Power Bar:Select Patient List Window. The Patient List window is displayed. Double-click the patient.

  4. In the Account List or Account window:In the Account List or Account window:Select Patients from the Options menu of the Express bar or the Options menu. A Patient List window containing all of the patients associated with the selected account is displayed. Double-click the patient.

  5. In the InOffice window:In the InOffice window:Select Patient from the Options menu of the Express bar. The Patient List window is displayed. Double-click the patient.

  6. In the patient chart:In the patient chart:Hover over the patient name on the patient banner and click the link.

  7. In any window:In any window:Press Ctrl + O. The Patient List window is displayed. Double-click the patient.

The patient is displayed in the Patient window.

  1. Select Letters and Labels > Quick Letters > Insurance Retreatment from the Options section of the Express bar or the Options menu. The Select Claim window is displayed.

  2. Use the drop-down arrow to open the claim list. Double-click on the claim, and click OK. The Output Options window is displayed.

  3. Select the output type and click OK. The Insurance Retreatment Letter Setup window is displayed.

  4. In the Treatment Information section, type the procedure code and tooth number. Use the drop-down arrow to select the original treatment date, and type the additional type of treatment. Click OK. The insurance retreatment letter is displayed.

  5.  Click Zoom In or Zoom Out to view the letter.

  6. Click Print, select a printer, and click OK.
