Processing Transactions Offline

If your office is without a modem or Internet connection, use this procedure.

To process a transaction offline:

  1. In the patient Transactions List window, click Add. The Transaction window is displayed.

  2. Select the credit card payment and press Tab. The Payment window is displayed.

  3. Select Off Line in the Credit Card section.

  4. When prompted, swipe the credit card through the card swiper. See the diagram on the card swiper for the correct position of the card.

  5. If the card is unavailable, enter the card information manually. See Adding Payments to Patient Transactions Manually.

  1. Contact the bank for the authorization number. See the documentation provided by TransFirst for more information.

  2. After you receive the authorization number, enter it in the Authorization # field.

  3. Add notes, if necessary.

  4. To print a receipt, click OK at the prompt.

  5. Click OK.
