Using the Main Charting Toolbar

Click the icon for a description of the Main Charting toolbar buttons, located at the top of the Charting for window.

Help

Displays the software online Help system.

Close

Closes the charting module to return to the previously opened window in the software.

Save All

Saves changes made to the open chart.

Print

Prints a patient chart. See Printing Charts.

Full Mouth/Quad

Select Full Mouth to display all four quadrants.
Select Quad 1 to display the first quadrant.
Select Quad 2 to display the second quadrant.
Select Quad 3 to display the third quadrant.
Select Quad 4 to display the fourth quadrant.
You can also access the quadrants by using Ctrl + the quadrant number or from the View menu.

Maximize the chart view

Maximizes the chart and hides the Clinical Detail Tab Container.

Chart with Clinical History

Displays the Clinical History tab in the Clinical Detail Tab Container section.

Chart with Clinical Images

Displays the Clinical History tab in the Clinical Detail Tab Container section.

Maximize the clinical ledger view

Maximizes the Clinical History tab in the Clinical Detail Tab Container section.

Maximize the image thumbnail view

Maximizes the Clinical Images tab in the Clinical Detail Tab Container section.

Provider List

Displays the Provider List window. In this window, you can select the provider for the chart. You can also access this command from the Chart and Perio menus.

Add a descriptive note

Displays the Patient Clinical Notes List window. In this window, you can associate clinical notes with a chart.

Accesses the CS Imaging software, where you can manipulate and re-save previously acquired images using the CS Imaging software tools. New images cannot be acquired using this button. This command is enabled only if you are using SoftDent Cloud.

Accesses the CS Imaging software to acquire patient images. This command is enabled only if you are using SoftDent Cloud.

Start Imaging Software

Accesses the CS Imaging software.
This command is enabled only if you use CS Imaging software.

Capture a panoramic image using Dental Imaging Software

Accesses the CS Imaging software to capture a panoramic image.
This command is enabled only if you use CS Imaging software, version 6 or higher, and have installed the 8000, 9000, or 9300 panoramic unit.

Capture a 3D Volume using dental imaging software

Accesses the 3D Acquisition window of the 9000 3D system, enabling you to capture a 3D volume. This command is enabled only if you use CS Imaging software, version 6 or higher, and have installed the 9000, 9300, or 9500 3D system.

Capture a cephalometric image using dental imaging software

Accesses the CS Imaging software to capture a cephalometric image.
This command is enabled only if you use CS Imaging software, version 6 or higher, and have installed the 8000c, 9000c, or 9300c  panoramic and cephalometric unit.

Capture an RVG image using dental imaging software

Accesses the CS Imaging software to capture an RVG image.
This command is enabled only if you use CS Imaging software, version 6 or higher, and have installed the RVG 6000 digital radiography system.

Capture an intraoral image using dental imaging software

Accesses the CS Imaging software to capture an intraoral image. This command is enabled only if you use CS Imaging software, version 6 or higher, and have installed the 1000, 1200, 1500, or 1600  intraoral video camera.

Capture a CR 7400 image using dental imaging software

Accesses the CS Imaging software to acquire a CR image. This command is enabled only if you use CS Imaging software, version 6 or higher, and have installed the Carestream Dental CR.

Capture an Intraoral Image using CS 3500

Accesses the CS Imaging software to capture an intraoral 3D model using the CS 3500, CS 3600, or CS 3700. This command is enabled only if you use CS Imaging software and have installed the CS 3500, CS 3600, or CS 3700.  

Scan a 3D Object Using Carestream Dental Imaging Software

Accesses the CS Imaging software to scan a 3D object using the CS 9000 or CS 9300. This command is enabled only if you use CS Imaging software and have installed the CS 9000 or the CS 9300.

Start MedVisor Software

Starts the MedVisor software. This command is enabled only if you have installed the MedVisor software.
