Using Blocked Time Slots

Use blocked time slots to prevent users from scheduling appointments for a specific time period. Users cannot schedule patient appointments during a blocked time slot unless the feature is overridden.

Example:To prevent office employees from scheduling patient appointments during the office lunch hour or during an office meeting, block the appropriate time slots for the day.

For blocked time slots, you can set the default:

• Color

• Text

The following reports do not include blocked time slots:

• Auto scheduling

• Time usage

• You can also view blocked slots in the History Appointments window if your office does not use the Remove Blocked Slots from Scheduler option. See Setting Scheduler Defaults for more information.
