After the Integration

After the integration, your SoftDent user name and password are stored on the Palm organizer, and no login is required to perform a synchronization, unless:

• You change your user name and password in the PC SoftDent software

 OR

•  You select the option in the PC SoftDent software to force a login each time.

This means:

• If you DO NOT force a login for each synchronization, anyone with access to your Palm organizer can set the Palm organizer in the cradle and perform a synchronization. It is up to you to set up security on the Palm organizer so that no one can view private information.

• If you DO force a login, anyone with access to your Palm organizer can still perform a synchronization, but only according to their own Palm privileges, unless that person knows your login and password. Therefore, it is a good idea to keep your login secret, or create a separate, secret login that has high-level security privileges. It is recommended that you DO force a login.
