You can record clinical notes from any tab in the charting module. You can create these notes:
Clinical notes to attach to patient’s records
Generic notes that can be used repeatedly
Default notes that are automatically attached when the associated ADA procedure is performed
Primary treatment plan notes
Secondary treatment plan notes
Tertiary treatment plan notes
You can add notes while you are charting, when you are posting transactions, with every visit, or at the end of the day. You can view notes that were created in the charting module from the Patient and Patient List windows in SoftDent.
Patient clinical notes are used to attach notes that specify an ADA code, tooth number, surface, provider, or condition to a patient record. The various types of notes display in different colors in the Clinical Notes List window:
Black—Patient notes
Green—Clinical notes associated with an initial chart
Red—Treatment plan notes for TP1
Magenta—Treatment plan notes for TP2
