To perform a TMJ exam:
On the Exams tab in the Charting for window, click TMJ Exam on the Patient Exams toolbar. If no TMJ exam exists for the patient, skip to step 3.
Select an option:
To create a new exam, click New Exam on the Exam Options toolbar.
To edit the existing exam, click Edit Exam on the Exam Options toolbar.
Select an option:
To indicate there are no TMJ conditions, click All OK.
Select the TMJ conditions from the top of the tab.
Select the tenderness to palpation in the Tenderness to palpation section.
Select the anterior guidance in the Adequate Anterior Guidance section.
Type the deviation on closing in the Deviation on Closing field. You can use the numerical keypad to enter information in this field.
Type the deviation on opening in the Deviation on Opening field. You can use the numerical keypad to enter information in this field.
Type the lateral movement in the first Lateral Movement field. You can use the numerical keypad to enter information in this field.
Type the maximum opening in the first Maximum Opening field. You can use the numerical keypad to enter information in this field.
Click Save Exam.
To display the next exam, click Next Exam.
