Exams Tab Toolbars
These toolbars can be displayed on the Exams
tab:
Patient Exams
Exam Options
Common
You can hide or display toolbars by selecting View
> Charting Module Toolbars and selecting or deselecting the
toolbars you want.
Patient Exams Toolbar
The Patient Exams toolbar enables
you to display a soft tissue, periodontal tissue, occlusal, TMJ, or PSR
exam.

Note: To hide the Patient
Exams toolbar, right-click and select Hide
this Toolbar.
Click the following buttons to see the name and a description:
Exams Summary—Displays the exam
summary.
Soft Tissue Exam—Displays a soft
tissue exam. You can chart oral hygiene, gingival bleeding, calculus,
and the condition of all soft tissues, as well as enter comments.
Perio Tissue Exam—Displays a perio
tissue exam. You can chart tissue color, texture, contour, and consistency.
Occlusal Exam—Displays an
occlusal exam. You can chart conditions such as crowding, rotation, spacing,
overjet, overbite, open bite, wear facet, and class.
TMJ Exam—Displays a TMJ exam. You
can chart such conditions as crepitus, clicking/popping, reciprocal clicking,
and tenderness to palpation: TMJ and muscles. You can also record deviations
in opening and closing, lateral movement, maximum opening, and adequate
anterior guidance.
Perio Screening Exam—Displays a
perio screen exam. You can chart periodontal health and create a note
for each sextant.
Exam Options Toolbar
The Exam Options toolbar enables
you to display a new exam or edit an existing exam.

Note: To hide the Exam
Options toolbar, right-click and select Hide
this Toolbar.
Click the following buttons to see the name and a description:
New Exam—Displays a new exam.
Edit Exam—Enables you to edit an
existing exam.
Common Toolbar
The functions of the Common
toolbar are the same as on the other tabs.
