The Office Expert notifies you of pending lab cases. When you click on a pending lab case in the Office Expert, the Condition and Suggested action sections provide information about the lab cases.
When you set up the Office Expert, determine how many days before the appointment you want to be notified that the lab case has not been delivered. There are three status settings: FYI, Important, and Urgent.
You might decide you want to see an FYI notice at four days, Important at three days, and Urgent at two days prior to the appointment. After a lab case is assigned a status, the Office Expert notifies you so that you can take action based on the urgency of the status. Your normal follow-up might include:
Calling the lab
Arranging for a special delivery from the lab to your office
Rescheduling the appointment
Setting Up Pre-defined Appointments for Lab Tracking
