Scheduling by Phone Inquiry

To schedule by phone inquiry:

  1. From the Activities menu, select Phone inquiry. The Select person on the phone pick list is displayed.

  2. Select the person you want to call, and click OK. The Phone Inquiry window is displayed with family recall information for the person you selected.

  3. If more than one patient is listed, select the patient for whom you are making the appointment.

  4. Select Make appt. The Make New Appointment window is displayed with the patient’s information.

  5. If a treatment plan has been accepted by the patient, the Select Procedures to perform during this appointment window is displayed, showing procedures that are in the patient’s treatment plan.

    Select procedures from this list to include, and click Schedule selected items.

    Select Change visit, Make recall appt or Continue (none of these). The Make New Appointment window is displayed.

  1. Under Appointment Information, select the appropriate treatment category in the Tx class field.

  2. Click OK to schedule the appointment, or you can edit the information as needed.

The appointment is displayed in yellow. When the appointment has been scheduled, it is displayed in white in the Appointment Book, unless there is a conflict. If a conflict occurs, a message is displayed.

  1. If you select Yes, you are prompted with further messages. If you select No, the appointment is displayed in yellow and slightly off center to indicate it is in reschedule mode. You can click-and-drag the appointment to another time block.
