Getting Started > Setting Up Statements and Messages
PracticeWorks provides several messages that print on your statements. These messages are already set up, so you can use them as they are or you can edit them.
The types of statement messages are:
To view and edit statement messages:
From the File
menu, select Preferences > Statement
messages, and then select the type of message you want to view.
The messages on the left contain a variation of the same message, and
the angle brackets contain variables. A variable is a value that changes
from statement to statement, depending on the details of the account.
The panes on the right display the variables you can use when you
edit the text of the message.
Click inside the message you want to edit, and type or change the message.
To insert a variable from the right, click the insertion point in the message, and double-click the variable that you want to insert.
Do not edit a variable after inserting it into the message. If you accidentally alter it, delete all the variable’s characters and insert it again. Do not press Enter at the end of a line of text unless you want to force a new line in the message. The system wraps the words automatically.
Click OK.
