You can use the Office Expert to receive a daily report of important events that might need your attention. The Office Expert scans each patient record, account, outstanding insurance claim, and so on. It summarizes its findings and provides a suggested action. The Office Expert also provides a button to click to implement the suggested action automatically.
Default settings are set for some fields. You can run daily reports, review the settings, and make changes as necessary.
To configure the Office Expert:
Select File > Preferences > Office Expert. The Office Expert Configuration window is displayed.
In the Option to report column, all the features are checked by default. Deselect the features you do not want in the report.
Indicate when to report each option as FYI, Important, and Urgent. You can set a reminder to follow up on pending lab cases.
Under Dr. Time Utilization, enter the number of minutes each day when the doctors are not available.
In the last box, enter the number of days you want the Office Expert to look for appointments that were not checked out.
Click OK.
Changes to the report are implemented the next time Office Expert runs.
