Assigning Events to the Audit Log

When you set the security level for an event, you can also designate when the events should appear on the audit log. The choices are always, never, on success, and on failure.

To assign events to the audit log:

  1. From the File menu, select Security > Edit access requirements. The Security Access Settings window is displayed.

  2. In the Write to Log column of the event for which you are setting security, type one of the following:

N -  Never: The event should never appear on the audit log.

A - Always: The event always appears on the audit log.

O - On Success: The event appears on the audit log when completed successfully.

O - On Failure: The event appears on the audit log only when an attempt to perform it fails.

  1. Press Tab to move from column to column and through the rows in the table. Use the scroll bar on the right to move down the list of events.

  2. Click Close.
