Performing Staff and Security Functions > Using Staff Mail > Using the Staff Mail for User Name Window
The menu bar options, File, Edit, View, and Compose, contain many of the same functions found in the right-click menu and in the Staff Mail command buttons. These options are enabled or disabled depending upon the type of message selected in the Staff Mail for window.
The following functions are available from the File menu:
Open — After selecting a message, select this option to read a mail item.
Print — After selecting a message, use this option to print the message.
Print Setup — Use this menu option to change printers.
Exit — This option enables you to close the Staff Mail function.
The following functions are available from the Edit menu:
Mark as Read, Mark All as Read, Mark as UnRead — Each of these menu options performs the same functions as the Staff Mail function buttons with the same names. See Staff Mail Functions for more information.
The following functions are available from the View menu:
Sort By: From/To, Subject, Date, Ascending/Descending — These options allow you to sort the messages listed in the various folders. This can also be accomplished by clicking on the headers themselves. If there is a checkmark by Ascending, the messages are sorted A-Z, or oldest to most recent. If there is no checkmark, the messages are sorted in descending order, Z-A, or most recent to oldest.
Options — Selecting Options opens the OrthoTrac Mail Options window, where you can change your mail preferences.
New Message, Reply to Author, Reply to All, Forward — Each of these menu options performs the same functions as the Staff Mail function buttons with the same names. See Staff Mail Functions for more information.
