Performing Staff and Security Functions > Logging In
All staff members are required to log in to the system. In most cases, the OrthoTrac setup for your practice uses some aspect of the security feature, with access to specific functions reserved for only a few people. When a staff member logs in, he can perform the tasks for which he has been given permission in the Security window. See Setting Up Security for more information on security permissions.
While not recommended, it is possible to operate your entire system, or specific workstations, without security, if your office prefers this. In this case, after logging in, a staff member can perform any function. The software prompts the staff member for his name before executing the function, and the staff member’s name is tracked by the software.
