Scheduling Office Expert

To set up Office Expert to run after hours as a scheduled task:

  1. On the server, click Start on the Windows taskbar and select All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Scheduled Tasks.

  2. Double-click Add Scheduled Task.

  3. When the Scheduled Task Wizard window is displayed, click Next. To select the Office Expert program, click Browse.

  4. In the Look in field, select the drive on which your software is installed and find the OMS folder. Scroll through the list of programs and select OffcXprt.exe. Click Open.

  5. Change the task name to Office Expert. In the Perform this task field, check Daily. Click Next.

  6. In the Start time field, select a time after midnight but before the first staff member logs in. In the Perform this task field, check Every Day or Weekdays. In the Start date field, select the date on which you want the scheduled task to begin. Click Next.

  7. Type your Windows password in the Enter the password and Confirm password fields. Click Next.

  8. Click Finish.

  9. If you change your Windows password, you must reconfigure the scheduled task with the new password or it will not function.
