Removing a Category or Transaction

Remove categories or transactions from the daysheet only if you are sure they will never be used.

To remove a category or transaction from the daysheet:

  1. Select Functions > Maintenance/Set-up > Daysheet Setup from the menu bar.

  2. In the Daysheet Setup window, click Rpt Setup.

  3. Click on the transaction or category you want to remove on the left side of the window. View the Category and Transaction fields (under Report Changes) to verify that you selected the proper category or transaction.

  4. Click Remove to delete the category or transaction from the daysheet. A message window is displayed.

  5. If a category has money posted to it and you remove the category using the Daysheet Setup window, it prints at the top of the daysheet as UNKNOWN.

  1. Click OK. If the transaction is used in multiple reports, a message window is displayed, listing the monitors in which the transaction is used and reminding you to edit the monitors.
