Moving a Category or Transaction

Change the Order

You can change the order in which categories and transactions print on the daysheet.

Example  

To move a category to a new position in the print order:

  1. Select Functions > Maintenance/Set-up > Daysheet Setup from the menu bar.

  2. In the Daysheet Setup window, click Rpt Setup.

  3. Select the category on the left side of the window. The selected category is displayed in the Category To Move box at the upper-right side of the window.

  4. Specify where the category should be moved by using the drop-down list in the Remove or Move Category After field and selecting which category it should appear after.

  5. Click Move, and the category is relocated to the new position on the daysheet report.

Move Transactions to a New Category

You can also move transactions to a new category. Example

To move a transaction from one category to another:

  1. Select the transaction on the left side of the window. The selected transaction is displayed in the Transaction field at the upper-right side of the window.

  2. Specify where the transaction should be moved by using the drop-down list in the Category field and selecting the category in which the transaction should display.

  3. Click Move, and the transaction is relocated to the new position on the daysheet report.

Move Transactions Within a Category

To move a transaction within a category:

  1. Right-click the transaction on the left side of the window to display the sequencing tool.

  2. Click on the up or down arrow next to the category name to reposition the selected transaction in the list.

  3. Click OK.
