Editing/Viewing Electronic Claims

Clicking Edit/View Claims on the Electronic Claims Maintenance window enables you to review claims before transmitting to the clearinghouse. You can correct any errors or remove any claims from this window prior to transmitting. After the batch has been transmitted, claims cannot be changed.

To view the claims and correct errors:

  1. From the Electronic Claims Maintenance window, click Edit/View Claims. The Edit/View Electronic Claims Maintenance window is displayed.

Claims are displayed in this window according to the claim type selected in the Options section on the main Electronic Claims Maintenance window.

  1. To review previously transmitted batches, select the date you want to view in the Created field. Each item you select affects the options, totals, and display list.

  2. Click on a column heading to sort claims by that criterion.

  3. A claim containing an error is displayed with an Error icon in the Status column, and a description of the error follows the patient name.

Double-click anywhere on the row to open the claim form in the edit mode. Make changes as necessary and click OK to update the claim. You can also right-click on a row to remove/restore or edit/view the claim form.

Several function buttons at the bottom of the window enable you to view and edit electronic claims with errors.
