Copying a Claim

At times, it can be useful to copy an existing claim and then make changes/additions to only a few fields.

To copy a claim:

  1. Access the Claims window from the patient chart or from the Financial Functions window by clicking the Claims button. The Claims window is displayed.

  2. If there is more than one claim in the window, select the claim you want to copy and click Copy. The Copy New Claim window is displayed.

  3. Select the type of claim to which you want the existing claim information copied and click OK. The original claim information is copied to the new claim.

  4. In the Claims window, select the new claim and click Change. The Editing Claim Form for <name> is displayed. At the lower-right of the window, the type of claim is displayed.

  5. Use the scroll bar to view the entire form, and use the mouse to click in the fields in which you need to change information.

  6. When you are finished updating the form, click Close and click OK to finish the claim and close the window.
