Changing Standards

To change a standard:

1. Select Functions > Maintenance/Set-up > Schedule Maintenance from the menu bar. The Schedule Maintenance window is displayed.

2. In the Standards section, select the standard you want to update and click Change. The Change Standard window is displayed.

3. To change the name of the standard, type the new name in the Name of the Standard field.

4. To change the starting time for the standard, type the new start time in the Start Time field.

5. To change the ending time for this standard, type the new end time in the End Time field.

6. To change the number of chairs for the standard, type the number of chairs in the # of Chairs field.

7. To change the color for this standard, select a slot color.

3. Click Apply. The Standard Maintenance window is displayed. This window shows a preview of what the standard looks like.

5. Change Chair Names

   To change chair names for this standard, click on a dark blue numbered box at the top of the window and type the new name for the chair. Continue for each of the chairs displayed.

   • When using the Color, Code, Open, and Block buttons at the bottom of the Standard Maintenance Window, first click the button for the operation you want to perform and then click on the time slot.

6. Block Time Slots

   Select this option to close time slots that are open or time slots which have already been assigned an appointment.

   • To open or block several time slots at once, click on a time slot and drag the mouse to the ending time slot. If you are changing appointment types, only the time slots affected by a single occurrence of the appointment type change. However, you can open or block any time slot.

7. Open Time Slots

   Select this option to open time slots that have been blocked or have already been assigned an appointment.

   • When you select Open and click a blocked time slot, the color toolbar is displayed. Select the color you want to assign to the newly opened time slot.

   • When you select Open and click a time slot with an appointment attached to it, the color toolbar is displayed. Select the color you want to assign to this time slot. After you select a color, a window is displayed, asking if you want to open all time slots that are assigned to that appointment. Click Yes to apply your changes.

   • To open or block several time slots at once, click on a time slot and drag the mouse to the ending time slot. If you are changing appointment types, only the time slots affected by a single occurrence of the appointment type change. However, you can open or block any time slot.

8. Color Open Slots

   Select this option to change the color of open time slots in your standard. When you click on an open time slot, the color toolbar is displayed. Click the color you want to assign to the time slot.

9. Change Pre-Blocks

   Select this option to display the Appointment Types window and assign an appointment type to a particular time in the standard.

   To assign an appointment type:

   • Click the scrollbar to scroll through the list of appointment types.

   • Click on the appointment type you want. The block of time for that appointment is displayed in the box at the right of the selection window.

   • Click OK to add this appointment to the standard.

10. Undo

    Select this option to remove your most recent change to the standard.

11. Print

    Select this option to print this standard.

5. Click Close to close the Standard Maintenance window.
