Applying Payments to Promises

When you are posting a payment, if a promise has been added to an account, the Apply Payments To Promises window is displayed.

To apply a payment to a promise:

1. In the Apply Payment section of the Apply Payments to Promises window, select from the following optionsoptions.

   • From Oldest to Newest Promise — Select this option to apply the payment to the oldest promise on the list.

   • To Selected Promises Only — Select this option and select the promise to which the payment is to be applied.

   • To apply the payment to no promise, click the selected option to deselect it.

If multiple promises exist and you change the defaulted spread or deselect any promises, you might want to readjust the amounts manually to apply the entire amount to the promise(s).

2. Click OK.
