Setting Annotations Preferences

Use the Annotations tab to set the default colors and font styles when using the Annotations toolbar.

To access these preferences, click , and click the Annotations tab.

The options available on the Annotations tab are:

Font Color:Font Color: Specify the default font color for the annotation tools.
Font Name:Font Name: Specify the default font for the annotation tools.
Font Size:Font Size: Specify the default font size for the annotation tools.
Line Color:Line Color: Specify the default line color for the annotation tools.
Line Style:Line Style: Specify the default line style for the annotation tools.
Line Width:Line Width: Specify the default line width for the annotation tools.
Fill Color:Fill Color: Specify the default fill color for the annotation tools.
Fill Pattern:Fill Pattern: Specify the default fill pattern for the annotation tools.
Highlight Color:Highlight Color: Specify the default color for the Highlight tool.
Calibration Distance:Calibration Distance: Select the distance used by the Calibrate tool.

If you prefer to manually enter the calibration distance when using the Calibrate tool, select Ask.
Calibration Units:Calibration Units: Select the measurement units to use when calibrating an image.
Measuring Units:Measuring Units: Select the measurement units for the Ruler.
Precision:Precision: Select the precision of the Ruler and Protractor tools.
Magnify Size:Magnify Size: Select the zoom size of the Magnifying Glass tool.
Magnify Shape:Magnify Shape: Select the shape of the Magnifying Glass tool.
Number of Undos:Number of Undos: Select the number of actions you can undo.
Open Toolbox Automatically:Open Toolbox Automatically: Select this option to open the toolbox automatically.
