Entering Landmarks

The Landmark list in the Digitizing/Editing window shows the required and non-required landmarks for the requested function.

Landmark:A point entered on an x-ray image or a photo image used for measurements, such as the tip of the upper incisor.

Measurement:A mathematical calculation performed upon landmarks, such as the distance between two landmarks or the angle defined by three landmarks.

The different appearances of text in the Landmark list are:

• Deselected, bold text:The landmark is required for the function requested.

• Selected, bold text:The landmark is required and has been digitized.

• Selected, non-bold text:The landmark has been digitized and was not required.

• Deselected, non-bold:The landmark is neither required nor digitized.

• High-lighted in blue:The landmark is activated with the next mouse click on the image.
