Use Auto Detect Landmarks to automatically identify and outline anatomical and landmark structures on cephalometric images acquired by the CS 9000, CS 9300, and CS 9600 systems.
Automatic tracings are intended to support, but not replace, diagnosis. They are not 100% accurate. The Auto Detect Landmarks feature provides approximately 80% accuracy, depending on the image and the template used. You might need to modify three points or more on each image for the tracing to be completely accurate.
To automatically detect landmarks on a cephalometric image:
Display the lateral x-ray of an image on which landmarks are to be automatically traced in the Digitizing/Editing window.
Click on the
Digitizing toolbar. When the points are digitized, editing details
are displayed on the Guide tab of the Digitizing/Editing window.
Review the landmark for accuracy.
To edit a landmark, select the landmark and click the new position or select the landmark and drag it to the new position.
When complete, click Done.
It is your responsibility to analyze and interpret automatic tracings made by the software. It is also your responsibility to determine the validity of automatic tracings.
Click Done.
