You can create a new template to represent bony structure not provided in the default templates. If you make a global change to one or more templates, you must place the new template into all of the definition files that you are using. Once incorporated into the definition file, all new patients use the new template; however, the new template is not available for existing patients.
You cannot exit the software until you have connected the required number of landmarks. For example, if you choose a 2 landmark template, but only connect one, you cannot exit the software until you connect the other point.
To create a template:
While viewing the tracing, click

The Tracing window is displayed.
To open the Tracing window, make sure the Analysis, Orthodontics, Surgery, and Superimposition buttons are not selected on the toolbar.
Click Create Template. The New Object Information window is displayed.
Type a name for the template in the Object's name field.
Select an Object Type to create.
Click OK. The Digitizing/Editing window is displayed.
Click the mouse along the structure to define.
If you are defining an object that requires a landmark and you clicked where you want the landmark placed, right-click on the image, select Points > Connect To Landmark, select a landmark from the list, and click OK.
To adjust a template while you are creating it, right-click on the image, select Edit > Points, and click and drag any point to the new location.
