Using the iConsult Integration

WinOMS integrates with the iConsult OMS digital assistant from PBHS. In order to use iConsult with WinOMS, you must set up an account with iConsult.

Enabling the iConsult Integration

To enable the iConsult integration:

  1. Select Utilities > My Computer Settings. The My Computer Settings window is displayed.

  2. Select PBHS. The PBHS tab is displayed.

  3. Select Enable iConsult, and enter your User Name and Password.
    Username provided from PBHS must be in an email address format. (FirstName.LastName@email.com)

  4. Click Ok.

Sending Images to iConsult

When the iConsult integration is enabled, access the feature through the Patient Workspace Attachments tab. You can send images to iConsult, where you can use the consultation and sketch pad features to create a presentation.

To send images to iConsult:

  1. From the EMR or Workspace tab of the Patient Workspace, select Attachments. The Attachments tab is displayed with three tabs inside it: Images, Documents, and iConsult.

  2. Select iConsult. The iConsult tab is displayed.

  3. Click the iConsult button. The iConsult Integration window is displayed with a list of all imaging visits for the patient.

  4. Click Send to transfer the images to iConsult for inclusion in a presentation. The images are converted to the .jpg format and uploaded to the iConsult application.

  5. Since all the visits are selected by default, you must deselect visits you do not want to send.

Receiving Presentations from iConsult

After you create a presentation in the iConsult application, you can retrieve it to be stored and accessed from the iConsult tab on the Attachments tab of the Patient Workspace.

To retrieve a presentation from iConsult:

  1. From the Patient window, select EMR > Attachments.

  2. Select iConsult. The iConsult tab is displayed.

  3. Click the iConsult button. The iConsult Integration window is displayed.

  4. Click Receive Patient Presentations. The iConsult Integration window is displayed with a status bar indicating the status of the presentation retrieval. When the download is completed, the presentations are displayed on the iConsults tab.
