Optical Ticket Scanning > Maintaining Optical Tickets
To avoid mistakes, you should verify your ticket codes. For example, a diagnosis code can be obsolete one year and deleted from your software. If this particular diagnosis code appears on one or more tickets, it would be an easy mistake for a doctor to mark that diagnosis. By verifying your tickets, you can avoid this type of error.
If you update your codes at the beginning of each year when changes are announced, use that time to verify your ticket codes. If you change your codes more frequently, verify them when you make the changes.
To verify the codes on a ticket:
Select Tables > Tickets. The Optical Ticket Search window is displayed.
Click Display All.
Select the ticket to verify.
Click Verify. A verification window is displayed, stating that the codes on the form are valid. If any codes on the ticket are invalid, a report is generated.
Click Ok.
