Optical Ticket Scanning > Processing Patients
To scan encounter tickets for patient processing:
Place the ticket in the scanner and click Ok.
In the Optical Ticket Scanning Queue window, click Auto to automatically read and process the ticket. If your office reads and processes the ticket at separate stations, click Scan or Process, as appropriate.
Verify the data appearing in the Charge window, and complete the checkout process. If any tracking data is marked, this data posts automatically. If any letters are marked, the letter window of the patient is displayed with the appropriate letters automatically selected.
If a prescription has been marked, the Prescription window is displayed with the prescriptions posted.
