Entering Pre-Op Evaluation Data

Enter the patient’s pre-operative evaluation data on the Pre-Op Evaluation tab of the Create Anesthesia Record window.

Enter values for the following categories:

• Vital Signs

• Pre-Operative Medication

• Lungs

• Heart

• Left Arm Position

• Right Arm Position

• Position

• Eye Care

• Dental Status

• Airway (new in version 9.0)
  Check to indicate if the patient experiences Snoring or Sleep Apnea.
  Use the additional fields to enter related measurements.

• Mallampati Score (new in version 9.0)
  Record the condition of the patient's palate.

• Narrative space for additional notes (new in version 9.0)

• The entry fields and checkboxes on this tab reflect those specified in the preferences. See Customizing the Pre-Op Evaluation for more information.

• Select the Enable Floating Input Panel checkbox at the top of the window if you want to display a floating number panel to use when entering vital sign numbers. This panel can be used in any numeric, time, or date field in the anesthesia records module.
