Initializing the Scheduler

Use the Scheduler Setup Wizard to design your scheduler to best meet your practice needs.

To open the wizard and initialize the scheduler:

  1. Select Wizards > Scheduler Wizard. The first window of the Scheduler Setup Wizard is displayed.

  2. Read the introduction and click Next. The next wizard window is displayed.

  3. Select Display office codes instead of ADA codes on reports and InOffice to display office codes on reports and in the InOffice window. For more information, see Setting Scheduler Defaults.

  4. Click Next. The next wizard window is displayed.

  1. Select Delete new patients/accounts when appointments are failed to automatically delete a new patient or account if they fail to show up for the first appointment.   

  2. Click Next. The next wizard window is displayed.

  3. Select from the following options:

  4. Track late appointments:Track late appointments:Causes the software to check for a patient's late arrival and record the appointment as late in the Tracked Appointments window.

  5. Show warning message for late arrivals:Show warning message for late arrivals:Causes the software to display a message stating that the patient is late and asking if the appointment should be recorded as late in the Tracked Appointments window.

  1. Click Next. A summary of the Scheduler’s new settings is displayed.

  2. Select an option:

  1. Load Previous Values:Load Previous Values:Displays the previously saved settings.

  2. Previous:Previous:Displays the previous window. After editing or reviewing the information, click Next.

  3. Finish:Finish:Saves settings.  

A message stating the Scheduler settings have been saved is displayed.

  1. Click OK.
