Defining Daily Messages

You can define date-specific messages for the Welcome window that you can change from day to day to reflect information about your practice, such as upcoming holiday closings. You can save daily messages for reuse, or define new ones as needed.

To define a daily message:

  1. Select System > Change System Settings > KIOSK Configuration Options > Configure KIOSK workstations. The KIOSK Check-In Module Settings window is displayed with the Welcome Page tab selected.

  2. Click the Message Of The Day tab.

  3. Use the text box and formatting tools to type a message to display.

  4. Click Save as New. You are prompted to type a name for the message, such as July 4th, Closing Early.

  5. Type a name for the message and click OK. The message is saved to the Predefined Messages list.

  6. Select the Show Message of the Day on Welcome screen option to use this as the current message.

  7. To edit and reuse an existing message, select the message from the list, enter the new text for the message, and click Save Message.

  8. To delete a message from the list, select the message and click Delete Message.

  9. If the Show Message of the Day on Welcome screen option is not selected, then only the Welcome message is displayed on the Welcome window.
