Using the Clinical Notes Menu

The Clinical Notes menu enables you to add and amend patient clinical notes, add and amend generic notes, and post end of day notes. You can also review a list for each provider by date or patient, and review a list of generic and default notes by ADA code.

The commands available from the Clinical Notes menu are:

• View Clinical Notes:Select this command to view a list of clinical notes associated with a patient. See Viewing and Reviewing Patient Clinical Notes.

• Add Note:Select this command to add a patient clinical note. See Adding Patient Clinical Notes.

• Generic Notes:Select this command to add a generic note for the procedure and provider. See Handling Generic Clinical Notes.

• Post End of Day Notes:Select this command to add clinical notes for all procedures posted on the current day that do not have notes assigned. See Adding Clinical Notes at the End of the Day.

• Review > Patient Notes by Date:Select this command to review a list of clinical notes associated with a patient by date. See Viewing and Reviewing Patient Clinical Notes.

• Review > Patient Notes by Tooth:Select this command to review a list of clinical notes associated with a patient by tooth. See Viewing and Reviewing Patient Clinical Notes.

• Review > Provider Notes by Date:Select this command to review a list of generic and default clinical notes associated with a provider by the date they were entered. See Reviewing Generic and Default Clinical Notes.

• Review > Provider Notes by Patient:Select this command to review a list of generic and default clinical notes associated with a provider by patient identification number. See Reviewing Generic and Default Clinical Notes.

• Notes By ADA Code:Select this command to review a list of generic and default clinical notes associated with an ADA code. See Reviewing Generic and Default Clinical Notes.
