Using the SoftDent Charting Module
If the service provider is not performing the exam or procedures, you can select the provider. If you select a hygiene procedure such as a prophy, the default hygienist is automatically selected. If no hygienist is specified, the doctor is selected for the procedure.
A warning is displayed when someone other than a hygienist is selected to perform a hygiene procedure or if a hygienist is selected to perform a non-hygiene procedure.
To select a provider:
Do one of the following:
Select Chart > Provider List.
Select Provider List from the main charting toolbar.
Click the link in the Provider section of the patient banner.
The Provider List window is displayed.
Double-click the provider.
To select different providers to perform different procedures within the same chart, select the provider from the Providers List window before charting the procedure.
