Selecting List Items

Click the button next to a drop-down list to select an entry from a predefined or default list.

To select a value from the drop-down list:

1. Select an option or highlight it.

2. Press Enter.

Several windows contain drop-down lists that enable access to another database.

Example:In the Patient window, select the Doctor drop-down list to display the Providers List window in FIND mode. Select a provider, and the Providers List window is closed. The selected provider is displayed in the Doctor drop-down list.

Many drop-down lists contain a list of predefined selections. Select a record by typing the first letter of the entry. After you type the first letter, an entry that begins with that letter is inserted in the field. If it is not the correct entry, type the letter again until the correct entry is displayed.
