Scheduling Order for Multiple Procedures
The order in which procedures are entered in the Appointment Card window might affect the time units allotted for the appointment.
Example:When an appointment consists of an amalgam and an x-ray, the time needed for the amalgam is four units, two if it is posted with another procedure. The x-ray needs one time unit, zero if it is posted with another procedure.
If you schedule the amalgam first, the total time units needed is four, because the x-ray was posted as an additional procedure needing zero time units. If you schedule the x-ray first, the total time units needed is three, because the x-ray requires one, and the amalgam was posted as an additional procedure needing two time units.
