Running the Remake Scheduler File Utility

Run this utility to erase the sched.dat file and recreate it. You can also use this utility to reconfigure the number of operatories and time units for the appointment scheduler.

You must run the Scheduler Repair utility after running this utility.

• Do not run this utility unless you are instructed to by a technical support representative.

To delete and recreate the scheduler file:

1. Instruct all users to exit the software.

2. Select Start > All Programs > SoftDent Software > SoftDent Utilities. The SoftDent Login window is displayed.

3. Type your user name and password and click OK. The SoftDent Utilities window is displayed.

4. Select Maintenance > Remake Scheduler File. A message informs you that the scheduler will be deleted if you run this utility.

5. Click Yes. The Remake Scheduler File window is displayed.

6. Click OK. A message informs you that the scheduler will be deleted if you run this utility.

7. Click Yes. After the utility is complete, the SoftDent utilities window is displayed.

8. When the technical support representative tells you to, restart the software.
