Handling Default Clinical Notes

Default clinical notes:

• Are used to speed up the note entry process.

• Are generic notes for the most common procedures that automatically display in the Note field each time a provider adds a patient clinical note for the same procedure.

• Can be associated with a provider or procedure.

Example:If you set up a default note for code 3330, the note text is automatically displayed in each note for the same code and doctor.

• Can be edited and are displayed in orange text in the clinical notes list windows.
